1. THE DUBSCRIPT APP
The DubScript app (“the app”, “DubScript”) does not request nor collect nor retain uniquely identifiable personal information from its users (“The user”, “app users”, “you”, “your”) including first or last names, email addresses, financial information, home addresses, birth dates, etc.-- that is, any information that could be used to identify an individual. The app does not include usage tracking nor analytical tools such as Google Analytics.
Document files loaded into or originating from the app may potentially contain personally identifiable information such as a screenwriter's name and contact information. Such documents are not requested not collected not retained by the app developer nor transmitted by the app off-device without the user’s direction (such as when the user opts to save the document to a cloud service or to share via an email app). Such sharing or loading/saving off-device actions are handled via Android’s storage access framework (on recent versions of Android that include it) and Share functionality (on all supported Android versions). The DubScript app uses open-format, structured text-based document formats to support interoperability with other apps. To this end, on older versions of Android, the WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission is used, and on newer versions of Android, the standard storage access framework is used to permit third-party apps access. DubScript users are advised to familiarize themselves with the terms of service and privacy policies of any third-party apps or services they employ for saving, sharing, accessing, and exchanging DubScript-related documents, and to not save or send private documents to or via any third-party service, app, device, or destination they do not trust.
As with any app distributed via Google Play, the app developer(s) may access non-personally identifiable and aggregated user information, such as users' region, app install times, as well as automated, non-personally identifiable bug-reports and crash data as relayed by the user to Google. App users who leave a review on the Play Store share their Google account name (in the actual review) and may share such metadata including device model, software build data, what version of Android they are using, etc. None of this meta-information is collected nor retained by DubScript's developer(s) Should you elect to use Google's Payment system to purchase an in-app subscription, personal payment-related data may be collected by Google Play-- but not by DubScript's developer(s). The app developer(s) can access only limited information about the purchase, such as the purchase ID, the general region of the customer, the purchase status, and a timestamp of the transaction. Please refer to the Google Play Terms of Service linked below for more information.
All ad requests in the app are fulfilled by Google's AdMob product. (https://admob.google.com). Links to the privacy policies of third-party service providers used by the DubScript app:
