I switched to iPhone and now i'm finding it impossible to be able to just access my old scripts it's been such a huge headache.

There is no version of…

There is no version of DubScript for iPhone so it's a bit confusing as to the issue you're experiencing (?)

On Android, you can transfer the script files to an iPhone device via email or Google Drive and use an iOS Fountain-compatible app for the iPhone.  Or copy and paste into Google Docs and use the Google Docs app on iOS.

Remember, the screenplay files are plain text so they can be easily attached, shared, copy-pasted and transferred as well as edited with any plain-text editor. There should be nothing about the files that make it unreadable on iPhone, Mac, Windows, Linux etc.

You can save to Google Drive directly from the app (hold down the "floppy disk" Save icon and then choose the save location) or you can save as an attachment via email or another app like a chat app using the Save menu item.

Hope this helps!

i had already switched phones

i didn’t realize that there was no version on iphone until after i already switched phones and turned my old phone in. i didn’t have a chance to back up the script in any way until it was already too late. i don’t think i have no way of accessing the script, at this point i have tried logging into friends android phones and it doesn’t work.

thank you for the response!

For user privacy, scripts…

For user data privacy, scripts are saved directly to the Android device unless you explicitly direct it to be saved via a cloud service (such as Google Drive or another cloud app). This is described in the privacy policy and is also is why DubScript's in-app Help & Info section advises you, at your discretion and comfort with third-parties' privacy policies, to create an off-device backup strategy such as forwarding your script to yourself via email via the Share menu item in the Write screen or by saving a copy directly to the cloud with a cloud app. You can also copy/paste into an service like Google Docs, or to an email, etc. Once you transfer the Fountain file (or pasted content) to your iOS device, the plain text should be readable by any simple text editor or an iOS Fountain-supporting app. Again, DubScript does not exist on iOS, but see the Fountain site for a few iOS apps.

This is all background and a long way of saying that if you are able to regain access to your old Android phone, you should be able to transfer files via email attachments via the Share menu item or another method. Let me know if you you are able to recover the device and need help with this.
